Scholastic is a leading education company supporting K–12 through digital learning, book fairs, and classroom magazines.

I led the end-to-end redesign of Magazines+, a suite of 20+ companion sites for Grades K–12, used by 250k+ teachers and 13M+ students. This included building a scalable design system to support multiple thematic variations across the platform.

I developed a comprehensive design system with detailed component documentation, usage guidelines, and property specs. All tokens and components were structured in Figma using Variables for export-ready implementation, alongside high-fidelity interactive prototypes for stakeholder alignment.

Single Issue Page

A centralized issue hub that organizes all content and teacher resources for a specific release. I structured the layout to balance exploration (articles grid) with utility (answer keys, printables, lesson materials), making it easy for teachers to move from discovery to classroom execution without friction.

All Issues Page

A scalable archive experience designed for fast visual scanning and chronological navigation. The grid prioritizes recognizable cover art while maintaining consistent metadata hierarchy, allowing educators to quickly locate past issues without relying on search.

ELA Article Page Teacher View

A reading experience optimized for instructional use. I introduced a dual-column layout that pairs content with teaching metadata like lexile, skills, and standards, enabling teachers to evaluate and act on material without leaving the page.

ELA Homepage Student View

A content-first homepage tailored for engagement and discovery. I designed modular sections that promote featured stories, interactive elements, and topic-based browsing, encouraging students to explore independently while maintaining clear entry points into content.
